i know that it might sound wrong but, I'M ADDICTED TO WHEN YOU'RE GONE ! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tanya had left her summer home in Italy to visit Edward, his lovely Bella, their beautiful daughter Renesmee, and the rest of her Cullen relatives. While they weren't completely related, Tanya always considered herself as part of their family. Carlisle was like a father she never had, and if she didn't have her own coven she may have joined the Cullens. Still, Tanya wasn't set on going straight to Forks. She stopped in Port Angeles to enjoy the sites, despite hearing news that vampires had begun to start chaos in the city. Tanya felt that if she came across one of the carnivore vampires, she might warn them of the Volutri's powers, and convince them to hunt in another area. Tanya didn't want to think about it, though. She wanted to enjoy her day.
She stroked her straight hair as she walked slowly down the sidewalk. Tanya sported a dark blue dress that came in at her waist and flowed outward, stopping below her knee. She was aware that going into a populated city would mean that she would have to cover up. Her ankles were slightly showing, but the shadow that her dress casted over them would be enough to protect them from the sun. She also wore a white sweater over her dress to cover her shoulders, a blue and white stitched scarf around her neck, and a large hat on her head to cast shadow over her face. Tanya hated to be so covered up, but that was the price she paid to come into the city.
She smiled to herself as she took comfort in an air-conditoned, ice-cream shoppe. Tanya took in the wonderful smell of french vanilla, and decided to get an ice cream cone. While vampires didn't have to eat human food, in fact some of them despised it, Tanya liked to have an occasional ice cream to bring back memories from her human days. A single scoop did her in, and she paid the man behind the counter that goggled. She rolled her eyes and left, taking a seat at a table outside of the shop. She ran her fingers through her loose hair, then took a lick of the ice cream. There were benefits to getting the cone, really. First, she could take a seat and people-watch without looking suspicious. Second, she got to reminisce on her past with a couple tastes of ice cream. Third, Tanya pleased herself by doing something out of the ordinary. In Alaska, there weren't many ice cream shops.

Sam had already admitted to himself that he loved her before she bought the ice cream cone. He didn't know how or why it happened. He was forced to dwell on the fact though that he could've kissed her twice in the time it would've taken her to look his direction. This was crazy. He didn't know her name or anything about her. All he knew was that he was half shifter, though he'd always loved the idea of imprinting he was forced to believe it couldn't happen to him. He had a great relationship with the shifters too, his favourite so far was Seth, who despite being the youngest had the ability to take out a vampire with little help from anyone else. That was the problem with those amber eyes of hers, she was a vampire. She didn't drink humans, which made it better, but as far as the pack were concerned she was still a vampire.
Fortunately he didn't run with the pack, not as much as full pack members did anyway. Maybe it could be a secret for a while if he made sure they didn't read his mind. Alpha Sam was more or less a good leader but not the most understanding type. Sam had a more interesting, complicated personality but he knew he would always be loyal to the shifters. Luckily they weren't allowed to kill his new imprint. No more than they were allowed to kill that doctor back in Forks.
Considering she was a vampire and eating ice cream, Sam assumed her to be very down-t0-earth. Why should this situation be different to Jake imprinting on the Alice Cullen's niece? Try to be subtle... try to be subtle.. he said to himself over and over again. As he started walking toward the ice cream shop a screaming male teenager on his skateboard crashed into him. Being stronger than average human Sam didn't even topple, but realizing people were watching him astounded he managed to pull off an unconvincing "Um.. ow?" of all the powers in the possible world, why did he have to obtain super strength and speed? Being virtually indestructible had it's disadvantages. All the cool stuff came from the phasing which he couldn't control.
Sam was petrified, the most beautiful woman in the world sat there. Outside the ice cream shop. Maybe she was with someone, a stunner with abs rather than a tattoo-ed attorney. He barely knew her and he wanted to become part of her life, this was definitely imprinting. He was glad he imprinted on someone so beautiful. He wanted a better understanding of her but he wasn't experienced enough in the world of love. He wished he could read her mind, find out how to impress her. He had nothing she didn't, the speed, the strength, knowledge that is kept from humans. He wondered if he was doing the right thing in even approaching her, but he couldn't stay away. The feeling of being near her was too great. Like he would do anything to ensure her safety and happiness. He'd keep her safe from anything, from breaking a nail to that creepy little vampire girl.
Biology had excellent taste. He only hoped that when he approached her he didn't get blown off. He'd never thought to ask whether imprinting was a two-way street or if you were lucky to get your imprint as in love with you as you are with them. She was kind if she could control herself around human blood. Despite eating an ice cream, she seemed mature. Could she love him? Are the Gods that kind? Could this beautiful girl like him? Did he mention that she was beautiful enough times before it motivated him to say something to her? Not yet. In spite of his incredible physical strength his bravery in this case would not be evenly matched. His piercing gaze observed how cute she looked, too cute to stay away from, though he knew if he tried he would still love her, still want to kiss her. He loved her for good now and cared about protecting her more than anyone else. Wolves heal from wounds fast, he knew that much. Anyone tried to harm her and they were toast.
As he shyly pretended not to be looking at her he twisted the gold ring on his third finger, a family heirloom that he hoped would bring him luck here. Did he even deserve her? Would instant communication be too forward? Maybe she liked her own company? All the agony was hurting him so much he didn't know why he couldn't just act as if he hadn't walked into this part of town. Now he needed her, more than that he needed her to be safe which meant he needed to be near her. As he prepared for a simple 'hello' his Tennessee accent suddenly became a concern. His twin sister that he cared for a lot had a thicker accent than he did and he knew that sometimes it became a problem, though Sam stood up for the law on a regular basis and he never had any problems personally.
Sam finally did it, he walked straight up to the cute girl. "Are you sitting alone?" he asked, wondering how in the hell she was sitting alone. Had no one seen her? Maybe he was more powerful than he thought, and his excessive mind-rambling had been signalled to every male nearby making them all walk away in boredom.

i know that it might sound wrong but, I'M ADDICTED TO WHEN YOU'RE GONE ! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tanya had never been in love, let alone been truly kissed. While she remained a sexual woman, very attractive and seductive in nature, she had tried to let that all aside. She had been one of the original Succubus Sisters, the demons that lured in males before they killed them. She had had her ‘fun’ if one would call it, but that time was over. She had no intentions of using her good looks for sexual manners and draining humans. Still, she desired to love. Tanya had a coven of her own, consisting of two couples and herself. She watched the way the vampires looked at their mates, and wanted it. She didn’t want to be alone, the lonely leader who had no mate to long for. She just wanted to be loved.
But she wasn’t aware of what was happening to her. She looked up toward a man that was staring at her, and then realized that her unbeating heart seemed to skip. Tanya didn’t know what she was feeling, except that he seemed to want her. It was an unusual wanting, though. She hadn’t felt like someone really was devoted to her until then. Even her coven, those who followed her for years, had never made her feel as strong of emotional connection. Tanya licked her lips lightly and continued to stare at him. She didn’t know what she was supposed to do, or say, or even think. Could she even feel? She had so many emotions rushing through her veins that it was unbearable. Bittersweet. Tanya felt hope, liveliness, and love, but she also felt fear – fear that she wasn’t thinking straight. She hardly knew this man before her. What was he? He was too beautiful to be just another human, yet not quite as beautiful as a full-fledge vampire. There was something about him.
He was strange, too. Tanya never felt any sort of connection between guys with tattoos and looked hardcore. She was always into the ones that were mysterious, yet poised and tame. It was probably because she found it easier to attack them; they never bit back. Tanya realized she was staring at him, but wasn’t completely embarrassed by doing so. She wanted to know why he had approached her. He seemed to have some underlying meaning behind him, some reason for wanting her other than her looks. Tanya gulped and looked away, down at the ground. This man made her feel…shy, feminine. But she wouldn’t feel that way for long. Tanya was definitely a woman of seductive manner and grace, of feminine charm. He would see her ways, too, that were less sadistic than her newborn days, but not carnivorous.
”I was…unless you would like to fix that,” she said with a smile.

"Sure. here we are.. both alone. Seems wrong not to" he smirked, taking a casual seat opposite her, slowly creating a shadow against the table. On the surface he seemed of friendly intent but inside he was so hesitant to talk to this woman. Who was she? There weren't enough questions to ask her and not with enough unset credibility. Maybe she already had a husband, the kids and the whole thing. How old was she?
He sat with his right leg laid against his left leg horizontally, his hands in his pocket so she couldn't see that they were shaking. He looked around a little, avoiding her gaze because he knew there was no possible way to retrieve speech. He shuffled his chair so that he moved closer to her, inch by inch, until he was next to her by the fire, his hand on her shoulder. "Your so cold." he told her, trying to bring out some sort of confession. He knew she had some connection to the Cullens, maybe not family but some sort of relation. Maybe that coven with all the mates..but did she have one?
"sooo what now?" Sam smiled as he spoke, and couldn't help but laugh slightly, what exactly did you say to your perfect woman? Maybe she wasn't right for him, despite his every core telling him she was. Maybe she would just sleep with him and drain him.

i know that it might sound wrong but, I'M ADDICTED TO WHEN YOU'RE GONE ! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Grey clouds began to swarm in the sky above, rain threatening. A lion's roaring sounded, and humans began to run frantically to find shelter. Tanya grinned, looking toward her company. She took off her sunglasses, revealing her golden eyes. She also removed her hat and scarf, and shoved them in her tote bag. She smiled graciously at her guest, and watched with admiration as he inched closer to her by the second. It seemed that he was nervous, which wasn't the true nature of a vampire. Still, she was convinced he was not of human kind. He seemed to be suspicious of her species from the moment he met her, and striking up the comment "You're so cold" even moreso reassured that.
His hand on her shoulder should have felt uncomfortable and strange, but Tanya only felt more than that. She sort of released a smile, then brushed her hand through her hair. "Well...what now...is I think we should take a walk in the rain. I love the rain," she said softly, then stood up from her disposition. She walked around the table and felt very...pressed to hold his hand as they took their walk. She didn't even know his name, yet she felt so protected by him. Tanya was frightened of what was happening. Why had she met this guy? Was it fate? Tanya held out her hand to him and smiled down at him. "You can take my hand if you tell me your name," she said with a bright smile.
Tanya knew that it was impossible for her to feel love, but this felt so much like it. Was she in love with him, or he in love with her? But that was crazy! They literally had just met within a matter of minutes, but he was so loving. Tanya waited for his reply. Afterall, a holding of hands between the two of them was nothing really. Tanya had seduced many males over the decades she lived, but she didn't plan to do that now. She had given that up for a long time. But she wanted to hold his hand, to walk with him at his side. Why Tanya wanted so badly for this she didn't know, but she felt very alive when she looked at her company's face.

She seemed to know exactly the right thing to say, maybe she'd been with nervous guys before. He wondered how they all were now, kicking themselves to have lost her? Had they lost her? Is she still with someone? Maybe he was entering eminent damage in being with her, maybe he didn't care. Never through litmus paper could any chemist measure the acid in his heart without having met the men she'd been with it was enough to burn through his body, but he couldn't communicate that hatred to her. His own thoughts were interupted by her words suggesting he gave her his name. He felt like he needed to vouch for the beta position here, he liked a woman to be the alpha, especially in these wonderful circumstances.
He hummed as if he was considering the decision, "I think I'll take the hand then. I'm Sam. You get the last name for a kiss" he suggested smoothly, or what he considered to be smooth. He'd gained some charisma from his job. Even though he was independent he liked to be able to say the right thing when he was with someone he wanted to spend time with. He avoided situations like that until today. "A woman that loves the rain. Aren't you afraid it'll mess your hair?" he teased, standing up with her and discarding the notion of holding her hand until she made a move for him. He didn't want her to feel obligated.
Sam watched her as they walked away from the ice cream shop and he couldn't help but lean a little toward her. He didn't want to give up on them because they did seem to have something, when he was with her he was happy. With his now free hands he dropped them at his sides. She made him feel attracted to her, excited by her.

i know that it might sound wrong but, I'M ADDICTED TO WHEN YOU'RE GONE ! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tanya felt very close to Sam already. She smiled as she looked to him, and couldn’t help but giggle lightly at his remark. ”Hmm a kiss? Cheek will suffice I think,” she said slyly, then leaned over and brushed her lips against his soft skin. She smiled and looked away, giving his hand another squeeze. She laughed at the fact that he considered her as just another person. She wondered if he would give a second thought to her cold skin, but she figured not since it was raining. Tanya looked up as the sprinkling turned into a drizzle, a smile upon her frame. Her hair was sopping on the shoulders of her dress – but she didn’t mind. This brought her back to his comment, making her laugh. ”Absolutely not! If my hair ends up in a wet mess, then at least I’m still pretty…pretty,” she said and grinned. Tanya loved how at ease she was with herself. She knew many vampires that had that seductive nature about them, and she really disliked it. While she tended to use her sexy appearance in natural ways with men she got intimate with, she would never use it for food or to cause pain…not like other vampires she knew. Serafina.
Serafina was a woman in her dear friend Sullivan’s coven, and wanted her out of Sullivan’s life. Tanya wouldn’t budge, though. Tanya liked Sullivan a lot, in what way her heart didn’t know. But Sera wanted Sully for herself, and she tortured him with her good looks and charm. Tanya would never have done that. Well…at least, in the last five hundred or so years she wouldn’t. She was worse than Sera at the newborn stage, being one of the original Succubus Sisters. But she changed, and was now a very kind and respectable vampire. She loved every creature, male or female, and tried to get the best light of every situation. She was not weak, though. No, Tanya was acknowledged a rate below the Volturi in strength and speed. She had very good defensive skills, and never let anyone get in the way of her helping a friend, or even being one. She didn’t know why she had reflected on such things, but she felt as though it was who she was. A reflector. Tanya constantly thought about who she was as a person, why she was created, and what she had to offer the world around her. In the end, she knew that being a very sensitive and ambitious woman, as well as leader of the Denali Coven, contributed to her efforts.
Tanya looked to Sam and smiled. ”So, why do I feel this way about you? I’m not sure what I feel. What are you? You can tell me you know…I’m quite positive you are like no human I have ever encountered before…is it because you are not that of which I speak? Are you of human kind?” she asked. It may have sounded weird, but she had a way of words. Being from a different time, she often spoke in old English terms. It wasn’t a bad thing, though. She quite liked the unique style of herself that had carried on with her from generation to generation. Tanya simply looked ahead as she waited for his answer, noticing she may have been rather stern with him if he was of playful nature. She nudged his elbow and laughed, continuing to simply walk with him. It was nice, really. She hadn’t had a really nice time like she was experiencing for at least a year, and it was nice to be able to enjoy it.

"Your most certainly not like the women I work with" he responded to her reaction to her hair, stopping himself at that so he doesn't start muttering his resume. He hadn't had pure comfort in two years and he'd become accustomed to not having anybody to lean on which wasn't a good feeling. Especially believing that men of his kind couldn't possibly reproduce. He studied her reaction as he told her what he was, "I'm a human.. for the most part. I'm descended from shapeshifters which gives me a little edge, nothing more than party tricks" he teased with a smile on his lips.
"Except for the transport advantages. Running like a wolf rendered me more capable of getting somewhere than taking the train" identical elements in his face to before. Despite the fact that he was looking at her she looked ahead. Sam didn't take it offensively but instead took it to mean that he should admire the view of the rain. It was always fascinating to see how the rain bothered people, especially women. Rain was a weakness to most women, he supposed it came from the era of hair straightners.
As they strolled through town a familiar gas filled his throat. There was a woman smoking like a chimney, Sam switched from Tanya's right to her left as a result. The last thing he needed was cancer. At least Tanya couldn't breathe it in. Once he was away from it he continued to answer her, "I've heard about it, it's called imprinting. I didn't think it was possible but it's something that happens when a shifter is supposed to have found his soulmate."

i know that it might sound wrong but, I'M ADDICTED TO WHEN YOU'RE GONE ! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The rain was so utterly peaceful, and the smell made everything seem right. Tanya closed her eyes as they continued to walk, guided by her senses and his hand. She let the water run over her like tears, feeling everyone's emotions around her. She felt as though she were the leader, the protector. She wanted those who felt insecure to feel safe, the broken-hearted to feel loved, and the weak to feel strong. Tanya's eyes flickered open and she turned her head to look at Sam. She let him talk, then took in a long sigh. "I knew you weren't just human...but I didn't guess shapeshifter. Usually, my kind is digusted with your scent - but your scent seems quite neutral," she said with a nod.
Tanya looked forward as she thought about imprinting. "I know what it is, as my er...somewhat neice was imprinted on. I feel as though you're completely fine with how I am, and I know imprinting has an effect on the girl...as in we're supposed to be together for life," she said, then looked down. "But I'm scared of comittment. I just met you, and I don't know what I want...at this moment, exactly this moment, I want you," she whispered, then stopped. She looked up at him and then changed the subject. She squeezed his hand and chuckled. "Since you can run like a wolf, let's go!" she yelled over the rain that began pounding. She quickly ripped the bottom of her dress so she could run, then grabbed his hand again and took off.
Her beautiful laugh ripped through the wind like a musical note played from the cleanest instrument. Her blonde hair stuck to her skin, occasionally popping off to join the wind, then plopped against her skin once more. The rain was coming down hard, and they had reached the woods that stretched from Forks to Port Angeles. Tanya stopped and leaned against a tree, staring into his eyes and smiling as water fell against her cheeks. "I'm a vampire, Sam."

He giggled a little at how she reacted to the rain. It seemed to promote a sense of peace with her inner self. It was a game most people hustled at, peace. He dashed through the forest with her feeling like a man reborn. One immune from cancer and the dangers of line. The rain touched his tongue and to him it tasted sweet as chocolate. He smiled back at this wonderful young woman that he had already suspected was what she was when she finally confessed it to him. He looked around a little before turning back to her, he wondered what she was doing when she wasn't frollicking in the rain. One thing was sure, he never needed his car again. "Please forget about that, the fact we're meant to be enemies. If I was meant to be a shifter I'd be one, I'm not a shifter I'm a merged creation with the same genes." no one could get in the way of what he felt for her.
If he wasn't careful this passion could ruin his life. Afraid of commitment was something he'd never heard from a woman before. "Maybe these intense emotions are just misleading. Maybe we havn't imprinted," he looked down, embarassed. How could it be when he was ready to walk across fire for her upon such a short meeting? His heart was brimming with passion, intensity, and extreme lust. He couldn't get her off his mind.
