Nightfall High
Neither one can live, while the other survives.
Its a tale as old as time. War. There can never be peace in a world that holds more then one type of species. What are these species spoken of? The shapeshifters, beings that could change at will into an animal unique to the being and the vampires who feed on blood and run wild in the night. Shapeshifters and Vampires have never gotten along, that is simply common fact. For thousands of years the two races had fought against one another, neither side gaining much ground than the other. It was dead even, once one side seemed to be winning, the other would push them back. They stayed in hiding, their fighting passing unknown to the humans that they walked among, their war simply raged on behind the scenes, in secret. No human has ever found out before.
Until now.
It was only a matter of time really. As the human's technology increased, the chance for discovery increased. And then it happened. The scientists finally got the evidence that they needed. DNA testing and examinations made it possible for humans to discover the existance of the magical beings and after that it was a small jump to discover their fighting. And like all creatures when they suddenly realize that they are not the top of the food chain, they got scared.
Frightened for their survival, the humans began to research ways of getting rid of those they saw as a threat. The existance of shapeshifters and vampires caused them to seek a way to defeat these creatures who they saw as a threat for their own existance. The two other creatures, though they should be more powerful with their powers and strength, were outnumbered. There's only so much you can do when trying to fight a race that is a million times bigger than your own. They had to do something.
Reluctantly, it became decided that they would have to work together. Only by doing this would they be able to defeat the much bigger threat, humanity. Only by joining their numbers together would they be able to even attempt to defeat them. Numbers was how they were being defeated afterall. The only issue was that it was hard to work around a grudge that was thousands of years old. Their solution? Start with the younger generation and work their way up. How did they plan to do this? School of course.
They reluctantly went to school together, being taught and trained to join forces. They were trained to kill the humans, because it was the only way that they could really survive. But can a grudge that old and that deep really be eliminated due to a common enemy? Is it possible for this treaty to survive with such a deep hatred burning between. Time to find out.
