eyes: brown, almond shaped, light or natural make-up
hair: black, very long and straight, natural but occasionally curly
height: 5'9"
weight: 135 lb.
distinguishing features: A small, golden heart is tattooed onto her left hip with the left S in it for her mother.
general appearance: Rachel is a very beautiful young lady, with copper skin and long black hair that goes all the way down her back. It is strangely straight and undeniably long, taking almost an hour to comb through in the mornings thoroughly. It is often out of her face, which consists of deep brown eyes that are framed with thick eyelashes. Below that is a small, nose that balances them out and farther down is full lips, though the top is slightly thinner than it should be. After that leads to her chin and down to the rest of her body, which is well-toned and slender. She is not the most curvy of girls, though does have some nice curves thrown in the batch. These are covered with relaxed clothes, typically jeans and a tee.

personality: Rachel is very emotional. She laughs when worried, scared, or very sad. She also cries quite a bit. She was the oldest of the two twins and when her mother died took on the responsibility of caring for her family. Raising her little brother some and making sure the family ate normal meals. This has made her a more sober person then, it is also what caused her to start writing as she could take out her emotions there.
Rach stayed at school and didn’t come home during breaks because she was hiding from her family. She loved her father and Jacob very much but she couldn’t be around the memories of her mother. She was afraid to come home and hear how much they missed her. Feel the guilt for leaving them that she might feel. Paul changed that. It had never really been ‘about Rachael’ before, everyone else taking precedence before her. Once Paul came into her life she became protective him of, because he made her feel like he put her first. Paul comes first for her too.
When Rachel was offered a scholarship for English literature for college in Seattle she could not decline. It was a good distance from home and gave her an excuse to constantly be there, but she stayed over breaks and blamed in on working and other things. She avoided home not wanting to face the painful memories. Though hearing her brother was missing Rachel returned home immediately, and waited for him to return. While doing so, Paul imprinted on her and the feeling back mutual, causing her to stay at La Push a little longer than planned despite the memories.

mother: Sarah Black, deceased
father: Billy Black, 40s
siblings: Rebecca Black, 22
Jacob Black, 18
others: Paul Meraz, imprinter
history: It was a warm, summers eve when Sarah and Billy Black gave birth to their first two children, a set of two copper skinned baby girls. The older of the two was named Rachel, meaning "ewe" and the younger named Rebecca, meaning "to tie" and "beautiful." This story is about Rachel, or Rach, who was raised in La Push, Washington on the Quileute reservation with her family.
When she was three years old, Rachel and her twin where gifted with a baby brother, Jacob. She saw him and immediately knew that it was her job to be a protective older sister, or a clingy one at that. None of them were spoiled children as they grew up and lost their baby fat, none of them really needed to be. They had friends and family all around for the majority of the time, it was rare for any of the members of the family to be without some sort of company. This soon changed.
Rachel was still young when a terrible accident struck her family. Her mother was in a lethal car crash that killed her immediately and left her husband in a wheel chair. This was the time when she became more quiet and reserved. She was technically the oldest and despite not even being a teenager she took the responsibility of the family. She learned to cook and clean, more than often trying to get her sister to help. She did what ever she could around the house to help for her whole life, becoming less social and even awkward around people for being so emotional.
"You will never put me through that again."
